don’t worry, you won’t need to cover your beer…

We’re doing our absolute best to keep Bannerman a safe space for you, as well as our staff. Please bear with us all as we all navigate these strange times together. Below are some precautions we’re taking to ensure the safety of everyone. Please read as they might affect your visit.

What we’re doing;

  • There is hand sanitizer available at the front door. We encourage you to use it upon entering and exiting.

  • We will be sanitizing surfaces constantly, and staff will be washing their hands frequently.

  • Washrooms will be sanitized many times throughout the day.

  • Staff will be wearing masks and gloves at this time.

  • Taproom has been rearranged to ensure 6’ from table to table and has us at a far reduced capacity.

  • Please respect physical distancing protocols

  • Menus available on our website and will not be shared at the table.

  • We have a brand new HVAC system running around the clock filtering the air.

  • If you’re not comfortable entering the building but still want to enjoy our beer, we can offer you contactless takeaway in our lane way. Just call (709) 747-2347 when you’ve arrived.

What we need you to know:

  • 6 people max to a table.

  • No pulling chairs from other tables or joining tables.

  • No waiting in the foyer for a table, you can hang outside though.

  • Parties of 2 to 4 people will be sat at high tops first, and then larger tables if available.

  • No bar stools and no bar service. If you’re at a table, please ask your server for assistance.

  • Cafe customers who are getting drinks to go can come to the bar.

  • We won't be taking reservations at this time

  • We will be opening up our event space to expand capacity in the near future.

  • Use of electronic forms of payment are preferred. Tap when possible.

  • If you experience any cold or flu-like symptoms at all, please refrain from coming near the building.

EVENTS (updated feb 9, 2021):

  • The landscape is constantly changing, and as such our policies will be ever changing as well.

  • As per the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s current guidelines, our capacity in the event space has been reduced to 50 guests.

  • Masks must be worn in any common spaces outside of the event space: walking into the building, moving around the building other than the event space, using the washrooms outside the space.

  • Contact tracing is mandatory, and is the responsibility of the event organizer.

  • Hand sanitizer will available at multiple points around the space.

  • Please take a few minutes to read the government released guidelines:
